Pitch tracker: track your Spotify playlist pitches per release.

The PlaylistLookup pitch tracker lets you save Spotify playlists to lists, one per release or campaign, and track each curator as Saved, Contacted, Accepted or Rejected. Contacts, followers and the health score sit in one table. In the app you find it under My lists.

What the pitch tracker does

A list in PlaylistLookup is a named collection of Spotify playlists, for example one list per release. Every playlist in a list shows its followers, its health score, the contact details of the curator and a status you set yourself. A playlist can be in more than one list.

Example of a list in the pitch tracker

This example uses fictional playlists. Your own lists show the same columns.

Playlist Followers Health Status Contact
Chill Vibes 48,210 86 Healthy Contacted Email
Indie Mornings 7,643 Check health Saved Email
Late Night Techno 12,980 43 Doubtful Rejected Instagram
Sunday Acoustic 5,788 72 Fair Accepted Email

How the pitch tracker works

  1. Save a playlist from your search results to a list. Create a new list when you start a new release.
  2. Set the status of each playlist after each step: Saved, Contacted, Accepted or Rejected.
  3. Open a contact of the curator, such as the email address or Instagram, or open the playlist on Spotify, straight from the row.
  4. Click Check health in the Health column to run the playlist health check before you pitch.
  5. Send the pitch from your own Gmail. A playlist with the status Saved moves to Contacted after sending.
  6. Select several playlists to remove them from a list at once. Rename or delete a list from its menu.

Statuses in the pitch tracker

Status Meaning
Saved You saved the playlist and have not contacted the curator yet.
Contacted You sent a pitch. Sending from Gmail through PlaylistLookup sets this for a playlist that was Saved.
Accepted The curator added your track.
Rejected The curator said no, or you decided to skip the playlist.

An Accepted or Rejected status stays as it is when you send another email to the same curator.

Limits of the pitch tracker

  • The pitch tracker is part of the Basic and Pro plans. On the free plan you cannot create lists or save playlists.
  • There is no set limit on the number of lists or on the number of playlists in a list.
  • A list name can be up to 60 characters.
  • The table shows 18 playlists per page.

What the pitch tracker does not do

  • It does not contact curators for you. You decide what to send and when.
  • It does not check whether your track is on the playlist. You set the status yourself.
  • It does not send reminders or follow-ups.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PlaylistLookup pitch tracker?

The pitch tracker is the part of PlaylistLookup where you save Spotify playlists to lists, one per release or campaign, and track your outreach with a status per playlist: Saved, Contacted, Accepted or Rejected. In the app you find it under My lists.

Can I make a list per release?

Yes. Create a new list for each release or campaign and save playlists to it. A playlist can be in more than one list.

How do I track which curators I contacted?
